DAY 1– Arrive into the Cincinnati Airport

Get to your motorcoach and depart for Georgetown, KY

Get checked in the Hilton Garden Inn and freshen up for dinner 

Welcome dinner at Fava’s – Experience Southern Hospitality at this century old family run diner. Try a famous Kentucky Brown! (D)

DAY 2 – After breakfast at the hotel depart for Lexington where we will spend most of the day at the Kentucky Horse Park – This world-famous equine park is dedicated to sharing Kentucky’s love of horses with the rest of the world. The 1,224 acre park includes the parade of breeds, trolley rides. 

Bluegrass Luncheon is included

This afternoon we stop at Ward Hall for an old-fashioned English Teal. This 12,000-square-foot villa, built for $50,000 (which was paid in gold) and completed in 1857. Here, in one of the finest examples of Greek Revival architecture, the very saucy Sallie Word once held court, hosting lavish balls, amassing a fortune by marrying four millionaires and generally scandalizing polite society.

Back to your hotel and dinner on your own. (B,L)

DAY 3 – After breakfast at the hotel, Check out and depart for the Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Home for a tour. In 2003, Old Friends thoroughbred retirement facility in Georgetown, KY, put a new face on the concept of Thoroughbred aftercare. Former Boston Globe film critic, Michael Blowen, started our organization with a leased paddock and one horse. 

Off to Frankfort, the Kentucky Capitol!

After lunch on your own we stop at Rebecca Ruths! Home of the first famous Bourbon Balls! Owned by family since 1919 this candy shop still makes bourbon balls using the original recipe! 

Check into the downtown Capitol Hotel. 

Dinner is on your own downtown. (B)

DAY 4 – Check out after breakfast. This morning we have a Guided Art Tour, Frankfort is the public art capital of Kentucky!

Have lunch on your own and shopping time downtown.

This afternoon we do a tour and tasting at one of Kentucky’s finest bourbon distilleries, Buffalo Trace. On the spot where the buffalo migration route crossed the Kentucky River, we’ve been making legendary bourbon whiskey for over 200 years. Buffalo Trace is the oldest continuously operating distillery in America.

Now we head to Newport Kentucky where we board our BB Riverboat and have a wonderful dinner while cruising the Ohio River!

Check into the Hampton Inn and Suites in Dry Ridge Kentucky for your 3- night stay. (B, D) 

DAY 5 – Breakfast at the hotel. This morning we head across the River into Cincinnati for a visit to the American Sign Museum. Stroll thru and step back in time. You will recognize many neon signs from the past and some current with the largest displays one it kind in the US! 

Head to Findley Market for lunch on your own.

Visit to the Creation Museum – The Creation Museum shows why God’s infallible Word, rather than man’s faulty assumptions, is the place to begin if we want to make sense of our world. At the heart of the Creation Museum is a chronological retelling of biblical history in seven parts called the Seven C’s.

Dinner is included this evening at Kellie’s Homestead Restaurant

DAY 6 – After breakfast at the hotel, Today we visit the Ark EncounterAs you enter Noah’s world aboard the massive Ark, built to specifications, you’ll tour three decks filled with scores of world- class exhibit boys. These stunning exhibits allow you to experience what Noah’s life may have been like. Also visit Ararat Zoo and Animal Encounters, the Carousel and much more! Have a scrumptious lunch at Emzara’s Buffet! More time this afternoon at the Ark Encounter to visit the rest of the exhibits.

Back to the hotel and this evening dinner is on your own. (B,L)

DAY 7 – After breakfast at the hotel, Check out and depart for the airport! (B)
